I had a mixed experience during my stay. While the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with refrigerators and microwaves, the exterior and some aspects of the service were lacking. I appreciated the cozy vibe of the rooms, but the building’s overall appearance left something to be desired. 🚪😕

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were really nice and clean, with comfy beds and updated decor. I especially loved the Wizard of Oz print over the bed! However, some rooms had issues like dark lighting and smoke odor.
Service
6.0
Most staff were friendly and accommodating, though I encountered some unhelpfulness at the front desk regarding questions about my room.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, just a short walk to Temple Square and downtown attractions. Plus, there were convenient transport options nearby.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were quite limited and not very satisfying, with mainly toast and juice available, which was disappointing considering it was advertised.
Facilities
5.0
While the laundry facilities were helpful, the promised outdoor pool was closed. Also, I noted that the building overall seemed in need of maintenance.

My stay at Metropolitan Inn Downtown Salt Lake City was quite disappointing. While the location was great, close to downtown, the overall condition of the hotel was not what I expected, and I encountered several issues during my visit. From rude staff to uncomfortable rooms, it felt more like a rundown motel than a boutique hotel.

Rooms
5.0
I found the room to be outdated and in poor condition. There was mold in the bathroom, and the shower curtain was dirty. The whole space just felt neglected, which was quite disheartening.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff was not welcoming at all. I experienced rudeness during check-in, and there was a lack of communication regarding the issues with water supply. It was frustrating to deal with such indifference.
Location
6.0
On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located close to downtown, making it easy to access various attractions. However, the surrounding area had its share of concerns, like homeless individuals loitering nearby.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was included in the stay, but honestly, I didn't even bother trying it after seeing the poor state of the hotel. Dining options in the room were also quite basic and not up to par.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacked adequate facilities, which was disappointing. I noticed there was construction happening nearby, and the overall environment felt chaotic rather than relaxing.

I stayed at the Metropolitan Inn during a busy week in Salt Lake City, and while the location was great and the beds comfortable, several issues overshadowed my experience. The exterior felt a bit sketchy, particularly with the number of warnings about safety and fines. Additionally, amenities like breakfast and the outdoor pool were either non-existent or poorly managed, which was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean and comfortable, but overall very average and in need of some renovations. I didn't find the in-room coffee maker appealing at all.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent. Some staff members were pleasant, but there were also instances of rudeness that made check-in frustrating.
Location
6.0
The location was convenient for exploring downtown and close to public transport, yet it was unsettling to see homeless individuals outside in the mornings.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was supposed to be included, but I found the offerings very limited, and there was no coffee available, which was a letdown.
Facilities
5.0
While there were some facilities such as laundry available, the outdoor pool was closed, and I would have expected better accessibility to those amenities.

My stay at the Metropolitan Inn was mixed. The central location is definitely a plus, making it easy to explore downtown Salt Lake City. but the hotel feels quite outdated and not well-maintained. While the bed was comfortable, issues like a small and cramped bathroom and a lack of cleanliness really stood out, which made my experience less enjoyable.

The room I stayed in was definitely showing its age. There was a distinct lack of cleanliness, with cracked tiles and worn-out furnishings. though I did find the bed to be quite comfortable. Overall, it felt like it needed some significant renovations.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were pleasant, but I did notice some inconsistencies in their professionalism. While they were helpful at times, there were instances that left me feeling belittled when I approached them with questions.
Location
6.0
The location is one of the hotel's strongest points. so close to downtown and convenient access to the freeway. However, I did notice some homeless individuals around the area, which made me a bit uncomfortable when walking to my car.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were quite limited and not very appealing. Breakfast was a forgettable experience, and it didn’t offer enough variety to make it worth it.
Facilities

The facilities left much to be desired. There was no pool, and the parking lot was small and overcrowded, which added to the stress of my stay. It was challenging to find a safe spot to leave my car.

The location was decent, but I was unhappy with the cleanliness of the facilities and the breakfast options offered.

The service wasn’t very committed. I was looking for assistance but it felt like they could have been more accommodating.
